Upcycling furniture is a great way to rejuvenate the appearance of your home and can be a fun weekend activity. Learn how to spray paint furniture and increase your backyard's appeal with freshly painted outdoor setting.
Before you spray paint your outdoor furniture, brush away any dirt and lay down a drop cloth.
Use a brush to remove imperfections.
Lightly sand any pre-painted surfaces.
If using Weathershield®, dilute with up to 10% water.
Unscrew the container from the spray gun and pour in the paint.
To protect your outdoor space from over-spray, hold up a piece of cardboard behind the furniture as you spray it.
Pop the spray gun on the vertical setting and point the spray gun towards your furniture.
Start spraying your furniture with long sweeping strokes. Release your finger from the trigger when you get to the top and bottom to prevent too much paint forming in one area and dripping.
2–3 coats may be required.
