Looking to add a decorative finish to your patios, steps, and paths? The Dulux® Concrete & Paving Crushed Pebble Effect is an easy way to get a similar look, without having to replace the surface.
Not only does Dulux® Concrete & Paving Crushed Pebble Effect add a decorative look to your outdoor area, but it’s also highly durable and achieves a P4 slip resistance rating.
Something to note about Dulux® Concrete & Paving Crushed Pebble Effect, is that it’s very different to your standard paint. Instead, it’s a clear formula containing suspended flake particles.
The suspended flakes are what provides the textured look. But because each coat will dry clear, you’ll need to build these flakes up over several layers to achieve the desired coverage.
Enjoy the decorative look, slip resistant properties and DIY satisfaction for years to come.
Although Dulux® Concrete & Paving Crushed Pebble Effect is suited to patios, pathways, and steps, some surfaces are better suited to this product than others. This means your surface type will impact how many coats are required for full coverage. It's recommended to paint on smooth surfaces as uneven surfaces will make it hard to achieve a perfect finish.
Before using Dulux Concrete & Paving Crushed Pebble Effect, you’ll first need to apply a base coat of Dulux® Concrete & Paving Coloured Sealer after completing Stages 1 & 2. This will allow for faster coverage and help you achieve the desired effect
If you plan on going for a dark textured look, use 1 coat of Dulux Concrete & Paving Coloured Sealer in Dulux Drive Time under Dulux Concrete & Paving Crushed Pebble Effect in Nightfall.Explore the range-->
The number of coats you apply will depend on the effect you’re after and your surface. If you want a fuller coverage look, you may need up 4 to 6 coats. For a more subtle look, you might be happy with less. Build up as you go!
Spread Rate: 4m2/L or 250mL per m2 per coat
If this is your first time using Crushed Pebble, we’d recommend beginning with a space no larger than 20m2 in total. Even with the base coat, using the Crushed Pebble Effect over larger areas will be difficult.
Use it all up - This is a wear coating in a high traffic environment. The more coverage, the longer it will last. For maintenance it's a good idea to apply a maintenance coat every 2-3 years to keep the surface fresh and retain slip resistance.
