Dulux Colour Awards 2025
This year's winners showcased exceptional creativity, with a notable trend towards using single colours as defining design strategies.
Awards celebrate single-colour design brilliance
Judges praised the exceptional level of innovation and originality across all categories of the Dulux Colour Awards, making the selection process challenging.
In determining the winners and commendation awards, this year’s judges engaged in spirited debate for some categories and unanimously agreed in others. The panel comprised Andrew Parr, Director of Interiors at SJB; Kim Bridgland, Director at Edition Office; Rachel Luchetti, Co-Founder of Luchetti Krelle; Kerstin Thompson, Principal and Founder of KTA; Alex McLeod, Co-Founder of at.space, NZ; and, Dulux Colour and Communications Manager, Andrea Lucena-Orr.
The Australian and New Zealand Grand Prix winners exemplified the awards' goals of highlighting innovative uses of colour in architectural design.
Richards Stanisich received the Australian Grand Prix award for its clear vision of pairing the green Delta Break with reflective surfaces for an ethereal effect inside the Sarah & Sebastian Armadale store in Melbourne. New Zealand Grand Prix winner, Pac Studio, was honoured for the interior residential transformation of Lava Flow, showcasing a volcanic-inspired ceiling in Murray Red to reference Auckland's landscape.
The category winners were recognised for their outstanding colour use and design execution from using unconventional colour on heritage projects to softening an industrial depot with graduated greens on its façade.
