Dulux Professional® Exterior is 100% acrylic Low Sheen with excellent application and opacity. It is suitable for use on exterior surfaces such as masonry, cement render, brick, fibro cement, suitably primed timber and metal.
All preparation and painting must conform to AS2311: The Painting of Buildings.
Do not use at temperatures below 10C, or when the temperature of the surface may fall below 10C during the drying period. Avoid exposure to steam and condensation for 48 hours after application. Although the film is dry to touch in 30 minutes allow 7 days for film to fully cure before washing.
Tinted Colours: Ensure that the paint is thoroughly shaken and stirred immediately after addition of tinter to the can and again before use. Darker colours will show more signs of marking and scuffing than lighter colours - if you are considering using a dark colour in a high traffic area you may want to consider a higher sheen level or the use of a protective clear coat.
All surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and free of all loose dirt, dust, grease, loose or flaking paint, and loose surface plaster. Efflorescence or mould on masonry or concrete surfaces must be treated. Flatten gloss surfaces by thoroughly sanding and wipe clean with a damp cloth, then apply primer, sealer or undercoat as required.
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad flat stirrer, using an upward action. Brush/Roller: Rinse brush or roller in water before starting and use while still slightly damp. Apply two full even coats direct from the container. Under hot or windy conditions or on very absorbent surfaces, up to 100 ml clean water may be added per litre to assist application. Use a short nap roller. Avoid excessive brushing or rolling back into paint which has been drying some minutes. Airless/Conventional Spray: Suitable for application by all standard spray equipment. If necessary thin with up to 100 ml per litre of water to aid atomisation.
Do not pour leftover paint down the drain.
Unwanted paint should be brushed out on newspaper and allowed to dry, and then disposed of via domestic waste collections.
