Dulux® Spray Frosted Glass with Duramax Technology™ is a fast-drying spray paint delivering a semi-transparent etched finish. Ideal for adding privacy or a decorative touch to glass and plastic surfaces inside and outside the home.
The surface must be clean and dry, free from grease, rust and dirt. Protect adjoining surfaces from overspray.
Glass and Perspex: No primer required
All other plastics: Dulux Spray Plastic Primer
Note: Some plastics like polyethylene do not allow for paint adhesion even with primers. Test plastic projects in an inconspicuous area first.
1. BEFORE SPRAYING
Shake can for at least 2 minutes after first rattle and regularly during use. Lower temperatures and high humidity will slow the drying and may affect the appearance. Avoid spraying when air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C.
2. SPRAY APPLICATION
Hold can upright 20 to 25cm from the surface. To ensure surface compatibility, test spray on an inconspicuous area. Spray with smooth, even strokes parallel to the surface. Apply light mist coats rather than one heavy one. Wait 5 minutes for the frosted effect to appear. If desired look isn’t achieved, apply another topcoat.
Re-coating: 5 minutes.
Coverage: Up to 1m² per can, depending on surface.
Drying: Touch dry in 30 minutes under normal conditions. Fully cured after 24 hours.
3. AFTER SPRAYING
Prevent blocking by turning the can upside down and spraying until clear gas emerges. Also wipe front of nozzle clean. Clean up overspray while it is still wet with Mineral Turpentine.
4. CLEANING AND REMOVAL
Dulux Spray Frosted Glass can be lightly wiped down with water or mild cleaning agents like Sugar Soap. The coating can be easily removed once no longer required with ethanol or Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA).
NOTE: Abrasive and harsh cleaning solvents like alcohol can dissolve the film itself.
