1. Browse Colours
Browse the Dulux website to explore the huge range of colours on the Dulux Colour chart, find the latest colour trends, popular colour hues and inspiration from some of our favourite design experts. You can also download the Dulux ColourApp to visualise your favourite colours in different interior settings. If we cannot find your colour in our database, you can visit a paint retailer with a Dulux Colour Matching System, which can create a special formula to match your required colour from a sample - whether it is a paint chip, or a fabric sample.
2. Order Samples
Once you have narrowed down your colour selections, order some A4 swatches or sample pots online. Make sure you check the colours against the furnishings in your home and make sure you check the colours in daylight and at night as colours can appear to change under different lighting. Apparent colour variations between the paint chips on colour cards and paint on the wall are usually caused by the reflection of another light source. For example, a nearby garden can affect the appearance of a pale yellow or cream paint coating. Perception of a colour can also be altered by a reflection coming from floor coverings or curtains.
3. Choose Your Paint
Once you have made your Dulux colour selection, you can use the online paint calculator to work out how much paint you will need. Remember that only Dulux paint can guarantee Dulux colour. After all the effort you put in to decide the exact Dulux colour you want, why risk compromising the Dulux colour in another brand of paint? Only Dulux paint is formulated to deliver genuine Dulux colour, both interior and exterior. So insist that your Dulux colour is mixed with Dulux paint. If it's not Dulux paint, it's not Dulux colour.
TIP: Matching Colour
We keep the formula used to create many of the colours from our previous colour ranges, as well as formulae for colours in the Australian and British standards ranges. Colours matching our Powder Coating colours (used to coat aluminium windows), matches to many Colorbond® colours, and corresponding colours for many of the colours of other paint manufacturers ranges, are also available. Our total database of colour formulae has over 50,000 colours. Your paint retailer can access these formulae through our formula books or by contacting Dulux Customer Service on 13 25 25.
Colorbond is a registered trade mark of BlueScope Steel Limited
