Acratex® Acrashield® Advance is a high build, elastomeric performance coating that forms a finishing barrier coat in the Acratex® Texture and anti-carbonation systems. Delivering a paint-like appearance, its film builds are twice that of standard decorative paint providing enhanced crack bridging performance. Applied by conventional nap roller or airless spray. Available in matt, low gloss and gloss finishes.

Brush, roller

Brush, roller and airless spray
Brush and roll at the same time to avoid picture framing. Product should be thoroughly mixed before use. Refer to the Dulux Acratex Application Manual for detailed instructions.
Dulux Acratex AcraShield may be applied by brush, roller or airless spray. A 10-20mm nap roller is used depending on the type of texture being overcoated.

Airless/Conventional Spray

Typical Airless Spray set up is: Graco Ultra 500 using 0.019-0.021 spray tip at approx. 1000 psi.

Unused paint

Unused paintDo not pour leftover paint down the drain. Unwanted paint should be brushed out on newspaper and allowed to dry, and then disposed of via domestic waste collections.Empty paint containersLeave empty paint containers open in a well-ventilated area to dry out. When dry, recycle the container via steel can recycling programs. Disposal of empty paint containers via domestic recycling programs may differ between local authorities.
