Michael 'Mick' Slocum has taken it upon himself to restore the Australia Post pillar post boxes across Victoria using Dulux products. So far, he has successfully painted 55 post boxes and has 150 until he finishes.

Restoring Victorian-era post boxes to their former glory
It all started 18 months ago when Mick noticed a pillar post box in Elwood that needed restoring. He cleaned the graffiti off the post box only to realise its beauty, which inspired him to keep going.
Mick received a list of 150 Victorian-era pillar post boxes around Victoria from Australia Post and has successfully cleaned and painted 55 since then. From Bright to Brighton, he is restoring each one to its former glory using Dulux Anti-Graffiti, Dulux Weathershield, and Dulux Duramax so that future generations can enjoy these important community landmarks.
"While cleaning the graffiti off the first pillar post box, I realised it was a work of art which made me want to keep going. It's a worthwhile project for the environment and a worthwhile project for the community in general. Only 95 more to go!"
