Dulux Concrete & Paving Sealed Surface Cleaner is the first stage in preparing the surface for coating. It is formulated to remove stubborn oil and grease stains for optimal adhesion of subsequent coats of paint. Also use on coated surfaces to keep them looking clean.
Sealed Surfaces
Wear suitable protective clothing, including chemical resistant gloves and eyewear when mixing and applying the product.
1. Sweep the surface clean.
2. Pressure wash the surface (use a 1200psi or higher-pressure machine) to remove dirt dust, algae, mould and other contaminants.
3. Wait for the surface to be free of pooled water.
• Mix the Dulux Concrete and Paving Bare Concrete Etch and Clean into a bucket or watering can at a ratio of 1 part cleaner to 20 parts water.
• Apply evenly using a plastic watering can, before scrubbing into the surface.
• Allow Dulux Concrete & Paving Sealed Surface to remain on the surface for 10-15 minutes. Ensure that the surface does not dry out.
• Power wash the surface to remove all residues released.
• Allow the cleaned surface to dry.
Do not pour left over paint down the drain. Unwanted paint should be brushed out on newspaper, allowed to dry and then disposed of via domestic waste collections. Empty paint containers should be left open in a well ventilated area to dry out. When dry, recycle the container via recycling programs. Disposal of empty containers via domestic recycling programs may differ between local authorities. Check with your local council to confirm local recycling programs. Alternatively, keep unwanted paint in sealed containers for disposal via special chemical waste collections. For more information on responsible disposal of paint and packaging visit paintback.com.au or painttakeback.co.nz.
