This tired, too-small Californian Bungalow was ready for a complete transformation - opening up the floor plan, creating generous living spaces, and introducing a fresh, contemporary vibe that reflects modern family living.

Every element has been considered—from bold colour choices that define the mood to subtle details that elevate the entire home and create a seamless flow throughout.
Three Birds chose to use Dulux® Aquanamel® Semi Gloss in Scallywag Half for the kitchen ceiling to give the room a light feel with the enamel paint ensuring a durable, chip-resistant finish.
For the Kitchen walls Three Birds chose Dulux® Wash&Wear® +PLUS Anti-Scuff Low Sheen in Scallywag Half.
Dulux® Wash&Wear® +PLUS Anti-Scuff provides a hard wearing surface in high-traffic areas, that resists scuffs and marks and makes it easier to wipe them away, keeping those Scallyway Half walls cleaner and fresher for longer.

The Master Bedroom
Three Birds Renovations chose the lighter Scallywag Half throughout most of the home to brighten and open up the darker spaces.
For the main bedroom, where natural light is abundant, they opted for the full Scallywag shade to create a richer, more cocooning feel—perfect for a restful, restorative retreat.

Colour has been added in a bold yet sophisticated way by painting the window frames, architraves, cornices, and even the ceiling in Dulux Moorland. This approach creates a striking feature that frames the room beautifully while adding depth and character.
The walls in Dulux Scallywag Half provide the perfect balance—a warm neutral that pairs effortlessly with the rich green, ensuring the overall look remains inviting and refined.
The powder room has been thoughtfully designed for all guests to enjoy. Distinctive elements, including quirky décor and a statement mirror, bring character to the space and create a unique point of difference.
The featured colour, ‘Camel Hide,’ adds warmth and sophistication. Dulux® Wash&Wear® +PLUS Anti-Scuff was used to provide a hard wearing surface that resists scuffs in a tight space.

The Nursery
Colour drenching brings instant wow factor, wrapping the room in a rich, cocoon-like feel that’s perfect for a nursery.
Dulux Terra Rose takes centre stage—a deep, earthy hue with soft pink undertones that adds warmth and depth while brightening the space. The result is a nurturing, stylish environment designed for comfort and calm.
The Exterior
The exterior palette was carefully chosen to complement the home’s permanent features, including the tiled roof, stone cladding, and carport. By pairing colours with these architectural elements, the design achieves a harmonious and timeless look.
