  • Dulux Texture Rock in your chosen colour
  • Dulux 1Step Prep
  • High quality synthetic brush for cutting in
  • Lambswool hand mitt applicator
  • Paint pot - for cutting in
  • Drop sheets
  • Painter's masking tape
  • Flat paddle
  • Step ladder as required
  • Cloth

1. Select your planter pot ready for transformation.

Ensure the pot has been sealed with a waterproofing sealer inside. Sit planter pot on a smaller, sturdy plastic pot to raise the surface. Apply one coat of Dulux 1 Step Prep with a brush to the outside of the pot.

2. Stir contents of Dulux Texture Rock.

Using a broad flat paddle using an up and down scooping motion. Pour into a paint pot for easy handling.

3. Apply first coat of Dulux Texture Rock. 

Work around the pot with a synthetic brush to coat the surface. Allow 4 hours dry time before recoating. Allow 4 hours dry time before recoating.

4. Apply the second and final coat with a wide brush.

Work the paint with random criss cross brush strokes to acheive the textured effect. Allow time to completely dry before planting.

1. Apply 1 coat of Dulux Texture Primer

Cut in around the edges and corners with a brush for places that can't be reached with the hand mitt.

2. Stir contents of Dulux Texture Medium Cover.

Using an up and down scooping motion, stir the contents with a broad flat paddle. Using a brush, cut in around the edges and hard to reach corners.

3. Scoop Dulux Texture Medium Cover directly from the bucket using a hand mitt applicator. 

Apply to the wall, working the material into highs and lows and broadly across the surface in random circular patterns.

4. Allow the surface to dry for 4 hours before applying a second coat. 

Repeat step 3 to cover the area. For a medium texture style, squeeze excess material from the mitt and finish in random sweeping strokes to leave a distressed bagged texture pattern.
