Time to Paint

Door

  1. Lightly sand the surface to a dull finish then apply 1 coat of Dulux 1Step Prep Water Based.
  2. Start by cutting in around the edges of the door.
  3. Apply Dulux Aquanamel to the surface using short, horizontal brush strokes.
  4. Once you’ve completed an area, while paint is still wet, lightly smooth over the painted section with long brush strokes. Do not reload the brush when you do this.

Dulux Aquanamel Gloss

Dulux Aquanamel can be used in place of traditional oil based enamels, which not only saves time, but has the added benefit of paintwork not turning yellow with time.

Bench Seat

  1. Prepare the surface by applying 1 coat of Dulux 1Step Prep Water Based.
  2. Start by cutting in around the edges of your furniture piece.
  3. Apply Dulux Aquanamel to the surface using short, horizontal brush strokes.
  4. Once you’ve completed an area, while paint is still wet, lightly smooth over the painted section with long brush strokes. Do not reload the brush when you do this, a few strokes should be enough to smooth the surface.
  5. Allow 2 hours to dry, then give the surface a light sand with 400 grit sandpaper and repeat for a second coat. 
  6. Repeat the above steps for a second coat.

Pot and Pot Stand

  1. Ensure all surfaces are prepared thoroughly and you've protected any surrounding areas from overspray.
  2. For the pot, use Dulux Duramax White Gloss and apply in multiple light, mist coats.
    For the pot stand, use Dulux Duramax Flat black and apply in multiple light, mist coats.
  3. Now, admire your transformation! Great job!
