Inspired by the foliage of Japanese cherry blossoms and the passage it creates during Hanami (flower viewing) season, Span Design inspiration from the overlaying of textures, colour, smell and experience to create a transitional space.
The tunnel is painted in Dulux Pink Stock to illustrate the feeling of falling soft cherry blossoms and is counter balanced by the use of bold textured cobalt blue tiles, creating contrast in the space. Further emphasising the notion of overlaying of textuality, perforated timber panels are used around the kitchen area to create the sense of food aroma permeating throughout the space, enhancing the overall ambience and experience of the space.
