sustainability forms a core element of our business philosophy.
Dulux leads the industry in the move towards high performance
water-based coatings. Environmental intiatives also include the
clean up of sites, identification and conversion to low impact
products and processes, product stewardship and creating
sustainable business partnerships for future generations.
VOCs & Paint
At Dulux we strive to reduce Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
in all our paint products. VOCs are solvent and petrochemical
additives that evaporate from paint during manufacturing and
application. We produce a range of premium paints that contain less
than 5 grams per litre of VOCs*- Dulux Wash & Wear Eco Choice
and Dulux Professional EnvirO2. The low VOC and low-odour
formulation contributes positively to the indoor air quality and
reduces air pollution.
Carbon Neutral Paints
Certified by the Greenhouse Friendly program Dulux Professional
EnvirO2 and Dulux Aquanamel are the first carbon neutral paints
certified by the Greenhouse Friendly program. Greenhouse Friendly
is an initiative of the Australian Government through the
Australian Greenhouse Office (AGO).
We are also proud to be a member of the Green Building Council
of Australia. A partnership aimed at developing sustainable
products for the property industry and the adoption of green
building practices in Australia.
Dulux Eco Choice Range
High performance Dulux paints are now
more environmentally reponsible.When you see the Eco Choice symbol
you can be confident you are selecting quality Dulux paint that is
kinder to our environment. Eco Choice paint is lower in VOCs, so it
creates less emissions and odour.
When selecting premium quality paints with superior washability,
easy application, lower VOCs and lower paint odours - the choice is
easy. Dulux Prepcoat ASU, Wash & Wear and Ceiling White provide
a complete interior painting solution.
Dulux EnviroWash System
Our commitment to the environment extends beyond paint to that
of the paint cleaning-up process.
The Dulux EnviroWash System is an innovative water-based paint wash
and treatment system that turns dirty paint wash-out into clean
wash water and solid non-hazardous waste.
Dulux EnviroSolutions Waste Paint Hardener
Unwanted water-based paints and water-based timber coatings are
turned into solid waste for convenient disposal.
Dulux Head Office
Dulux Head Office was designed for 6-Star Green Star
sustainability performance. Over 80% by weight construction waste
was re-used or recycled.
