Ferreko® No 3 is a two-pack epoxy containing a high level of micaceous iron oxide, offering outstanding durability and abrasion resistance even in aggressive coastal and industrial environments. Ferreko® No 3 resists UV exposure and moisture penetration with minimum chalking.

Performance Guide
| Weatherability | Excellent long term durability on exterior exposure. Some chalking and yellowing may occur. Metallic lustre may become more pronounced over time. |
| Heat Resistance | Up to 150°C dry heat. |
| Water Resistance | Ferreko No 3 in Natural Grey has excellent resistance to immersion in fresh and salt water. |
| Abrasion Resistance | Excellent abrasion resistance when fully cured. |
| Solvent Resistance | Unaffected by immersion in petroleum solvents, gasoline, diesel fuel and lubricating oils. |
| Acid Resistance | Suitable for splash and spillage of mild acids. Aluminium containing colours are not suitable for acidic conditions. |
| Alkaline Resistance | Excellent resistance to splash and spillage of most common alkalis. Aluminium containing colours are not suitable for alkaline conditions. |
| Salt Resistance | Withstands immersion in in strong alkali, neutral and mild acid salt solutions. Aluminium containing colours are not suitable for acid or alkaline conditions. |
Application
Roller, Brush, Airspray, Conventional Spray
Surface Preparation
Round off all rough welds and sharp edges, and remove weld spatter. Degrease by detergent wash according to AS1627.1. For all structural and decorative steel, abrasive blast clean to AS1627.4 Class 2.5. Remove all dust. Apply first coat before surface deterioration occurs.
Uses
Ferreko® No 3 is typically used for the protection of steel in aggressive environments such as wharf super-structures, ship loaders, bridges, hoppers, conveyors, silos and storage tanks.
