Surface Preparation
PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES No priming required if painting a sound painted surface. To test surface, cut through the existing paint with a sharp blade, press cellulose tape firmly across the cut and then rip the paint off. If the old paint or render comes off, it should be removed. Scrape off all loose or flaking paint. Sand all surfaces to a flat finish, wipe clean. Clean down powdery areas with a hose and stiff brush. Allow to dry, then apply 1 coat of DULUX Acrylic Primer Undercoat to all bare areas to even out porosity. New brick, masonry, concrete and fibro cement surfaces must be sealed with DULUX Acrylic Primer Undercoat. First fill holes with exterior masonry filler. Wash down with water using a stiff brush to remove all loose material. New cement render must be allowed to age for a minimum of 28 days.

DULUX Tuscan Effects is a 100% acrylic exterior paint for application to bricks, concrete, fibro cement and masonry. Formulated to create the soft look of Tuscany, Dulux Tuscan Effects paint will not streak from water staining, unlike lime-based finishes.

DULUX Tuscan Effects has been formulated as a one product system that provides a subtle patchy effect. It has been formulated to have sufficient open time to work the product in a random cris-cross pattern that is required to achieve the effect.
