How does it work?

First steps.

After contacting the Dulux Colour Consultancy Service via the web or phone you will be asked to leave a contact number. A Dulux Colour Consultant will then call you back within 48 hours to make a time that suits you to visit your home. The service is flexible, so you can choose any day or time of the week. But it's worth remembering that natural light is important to help you achieve the best result.

During your initial conversation, our Consultant will also ask you questions about the areas you are looking at (interior or exterior) to help them understand what it is you're trying to achieve.

The consultation.

After arriving at your home on the day of the consultation, our Colour Consultant will require approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of your time. Together, you'll walk from room to room to look at existing furnishings and paint colours. At the same time, our Colour Consultant will ask questions about what it is you want to achieve. In order to help you choose between different colour schemes with confidence, they have a full range of Dulux colours (over 4000) on hand.

Tangible results.

At the end of the consultation you will receive a written report of what products you need and what colours go where. Our Consultants will also give you colour samples that you can use to show family and friends. Not to mention a redemption voucher ($1 per litre up to $100) for Dulux premium paint.

1. Collect examples of renovation ideas to help us select the right colour scheme for you.
2. Make a list of things you definitely want covered at the consultation to be sure nothing is forgotten.
3. Be open to new suggestions and try things you may not have thought about.
4. Set aside the required amount of time to get the best out of your consultation.
5. Arrange for you and your partner to be alone with our Colour Consultant to avoid any distractions.
6. Collect cuttings of inspiring images, pick out a feature cushion or pillowcase, show a favourite rug or even a drawer from a cabinet to establish the colour scheme you want to achieve.
7. Ensure you show your Colour Consultant all tiles, bench tops, carpet and any other fixed items you have selected for your renovation.
