Townsville Volunteer Coastguard

The Townsville Volunteer Coast Guard received a welcome facelift with a group of local Dulux Accredited Painters donating product and manpower to paint the exterior of the organisation’s main building. The Coast Guard provides a vital 24 hour service for mariners, with volunteers on-site and on-call to ensure the safety of those along the coastline, inland waterways and out at sea. The building is also a space where the Coast Guard runs important community programs, such as first aid courses and marine radio licence training.

Dulux donated 200 litres of paint, along with ten local Dulux Accredited Painters who donated their time to give the building a much-needed refresh.

According to Dulux Accredited Painter, Wayne Cheeseman from Colour-Tex, Dulux donated all the product and accessories necessary for the repaint. “The Coast Guard building is a vital base for the volunteers and an important centre for the Townsville community. We’re glad we can play our part in supporting this organisation and the admirable service it provides,” said Wayne.

Dulux Accredited Painters that participated in the project are: Colour Tex; J & T Painting Contractors; NQ Freestyle Painting; AJ’s Quality Painting; Superior Painting and Design; Darryl Hathway Painting & Decorating; Marteen Painting Service; Tip Top Painters Service and Brad Mason Painting.
