Dulux & Kirrily Johnston

Designer Kirrily Johnston

In a fusion of colour & fashion, Kirrily Johnston and Dulux have teamed up to release the Dulux Kirrily Johnston colour palette.

Kirrily Johnston has become a favourite in the Australian fashion scene and her aim has been to blend elegance with innovation. Focusing on luxurious fabrics and quality craftsmanship, Johnston's clothes are refined and detailed, yet they maintain a modern edge.

"The starting point for my collections is always with colour palette. For years I have been heading to my local hardware store and selecting Dulux swatches to inspire me, so the opportunity to actually work directly with them has been very natural. Many colours in my collection were directly inspired by the Dulux paint colours."

Dulux Design Metallic 'Pewter Illusion', featured on the catwalk at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, is part of Dulux's new Design range of interior effect paints.

"Working with Dulux on my spring summer 10/11 show has been amazing. I imagined a beautiful pewter runway when I was designing my collection. When I met with Dulux and saw their stunning range I instantly knew that 'Pewter Illusion' was the colour I would use. The results were excellent. The colour complimented my collection so well and gave the whole presentation a lift."

Dulux Facts

If you’re using water based paints outside on a hot day, spray the walls with water before you paint. It will cool them down and make your job way easier.
