Manage the Dulux business from Cairns to the Sunshine Coast for Bunnings and the Cairns Hardware group in Far North Qld.

How did you come to work for Dulux?

I was the Assistant manager of a Mitre 10 store. I have always enjoyed paint and wanted to develop into that field. My then local Dulux representative Doug Nicholson was promoted to Regional Manager and luckily he encouraged & recommended me to take on his old role.

What do you enjoy the most about the jobs you've had?

The fantastic people I've met and friendships I've gained. My personal development and having the freedom to run the business as if it's your own.

What have been your career highlights?

2006 - Winning the National Dulux Retail Sales Professional of the Year.

2004 - Being nominated for Hardware Representative of the Year by the Hardware Association of Queensland (HAQ) Awards for Excellence.

What training have you done at Dulux?

Numerous. Sales, safety , computer and management courses.

Would you recommend Dulux as an employer to your friends and if so why?

Yes definitely. It's great working for a market leading, innovative, Australian owned company.

How did you come to work for Dulux?

I had been in the paint industry for 12 years as saw the opportunity to join Dulux through an assistant manager role at one of their trade centres.

What do you enjoy the most about the jobs you've had?

The relationships I have built with my customers and people I work with in the business.

What have been your career highlights?

Lot's of great conferences and social events with the retail team.

What training have you done at Dulux?

Many sales and Academy days.

In my 23 years in the industry I have worked for 3 other paint company's and none were near as professional or had the back up resources we have with Dulux.
