Performance Guide

Weatherability] Excellent resistance to cracking, flaking and chalking as part of the full DULUX AcraTex system.
Heat Resistance] Up to 90C (dry film)
Water Resistance] Resists rain and condensation when top coated with a full Acra-Tex system.
Abrasion Resistance] Excellent resistance to abrasion. when topcoated w when top coated with a full Acra-Tex system.
Solvent Resistance] Resists achohols & aliphatic hydrocarbons. Sensitive to other strong solvents.
Acid Resistance] Slight softening with dilute acids. Best when topcoated when top coated with a full Acra-Tex system.
Alkaline Resistance] Slight softening with dilute alkalis. Best when topcoated with when top coated with a full Acra-Tex system.
Salt Resistance] Resists salt spray when top coated with a full Acra-Tex system.

Use and typical specification

DULUX AcraTex 500/13 FastCoat can be applied to any sound masonry substrate, it has been carefully formulated to produce a tough intermediate skimcoat over properly set joints on fibre cement sheets then ready for subsequent texture coats. DULUX AcraTex 500/13 can also be used over other masonary substrates as a stand alone texture providing it is applied in two coats then topcoated with DULUX AcraTex 955 AcraShield.

Application Guide DULUX AcraTex 500/13 Fastcoat is applied to the substrate is a applied by Plastering Technique (Hawk and Trowel) and float finished. Once applied by stainless steel trowel, the product is processed with a plastic finishing float to a uniform fine trowel finish.
